Madison Malette
I’m a Registered Kinesiologist with a passion for helping people rebuild strength, restore function, and reclaim their quality of life after cancer or surgery. My clinical focus is on oncology and lymphedema rehabilitation—supporting individuals through some of the most challenging transitions in their lives with evidence-based, personalized care.
Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of client populations, including elite level athletes, orthopedic patients, individuals recovering from motor vehicle accidents, prenatal and postpartum clients, and older adults. These diverse experiences shaped my holistic, movement-based approach to care. But it was in working with people affected by cancer—particularly those recovering from surgery, radiation, and lymphatic complications—that I found my true calling.
My path into cancer rehab began early on, while I was studying Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa. What started as a general interest in rehabilitation evolved into a specialized focus on oncology, lymphatic health, and post-surgical recovery. That passion led to the creation of Ottawa Cancer and Lymphatics Centre: a dedicated space for comprehensive, interdisciplinary cancer and lymphedema care.
Today, I support individuals recovering from a wide range of diagnoses and procedures, including breast cancer, urogenital and ENT cancers, melanoma, lymphedema (primary and secondary), lipedema, chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy, and plastic or reconstructive surgeries. My approach is rooted in personalized treatment planning, hands-on care, and collaborative goal-setting—because no two recoveries are the same.
At the core of our clinic is a mission I deeply believe in: empowering you through personalized, evidence-based care, fostering resilience, and restoring quality of life. It’s a privilege to walk alongside clients during their recovery and to be part of a team that shares a truly patient-centered philosophy. I love what I do—and I’m here to help you feel strong, supported, and ready to get back to what matters most.
Outside of clinic ownership I am also a licensed marriage officiant and spend many of my summer weekends celebrating love and orchestrating wedding ceremonies! Between clinic times and weddings life can be pretty hectic but when I get some down time, I love to spend my free time making memories with my husband and our daughter. Often that means a simple day at the park together, but we’re always up for a hike or a new adventure too!
