Big News- We're Rebranding!

It is with so much joy and excitement (and a little bit of butterflies) that I’m writing to share that we are officially rebranding to the Ottawa Cancer and Lymphatics Centre. We’ll be transitioning gradually over the next few months, with our final website update and hard launch scheduled for September 2, 2025.
After a lot of deep reflection, hard work, and heart, we’re thrilled to expand our services and create an even more inclusive clinic. Although we’ve been welcoming all oncology and lymphatics patients for a while now, it’s time to truly “walk the walk.”
For some of you, this may come as brand-new news. For others who’ve spent time in our clinic or a treatment room with me over the last year, it may feel more like an “about time” moment. Either way, I’m endlessly grateful for your support, encouragement, and cheerleading as we grow!
We will continue to offer all of our current services, but our entire team has been engaging in ongoing education and training to broaden our expertise and better support cancer, lymphedema, and plastic surgery patients of all kinds.
If you just wanted the headline — thank you for reading this far! We can’t wait to continue serving you.
If you’re curious for a little more of the story behind the change, a peek into what’s ahead, and a glimpse inside my (sometimes overthinking) mind, read on.
Over the years, many of our non-breast care clients — plastic surgery, lymphedema, lipedema, and oncology patients — have kindly told us, “You do so much more than breast rehab!” And they were right.
After operating as Breast Rehab for nearly 4.5 years, I’ve been feeling a strong pull to do even more for our community. As much as we have always strived to be inclusive, having a name that felt so specific ended up feeling unintentionally limiting and exclusionary. We’ve spent years answering calls from people asking if they were allowed to come see us because they didn’t have breast cancer — and every single time, we were, of course, thrilled to welcome them.
So, after nearly four years of owning the clinic, countless hours of reflection, team conversations, behind-the-scenes work, and inspirational chats with many of you, I am so proud to announce this next chapter. It’s time to become the clinic I’ve always dreamed of: an inclusive, welcoming centre of excellence for all cancer and lymphatics patients.
Our team has been hard at work refining our skills and expanding our knowledge to confidently support a broader range of patients — and we can’t wait to put it into action.
What to Expect
First and foremost I want to ensure our existing clients and supporters that there will be no changes to their care or treatment team. Same team. Same location. Just a new name and an expanded roster of services.
Over the next few months, you’ll see us roll out new marketing materials, social media handles, and internal updates. You might notice:
  • New email addresses
  • A new logo on the door and business cards
  • Changes to our Google listing, caller ID, and more.
Rest assured — all our existing contact information will still work!
By September, we’ll complete the final (and biggest!) piece of the transition: launching our brand-new website. In the meantime, you may notice some of our web pages looking a little “under construction” as we build out our updated online home.
Thank you so much for your patience and support as we go through this exciting evolution.
A Few (Big) Thank Yous
This next part might feel a little like an Oscar speech — forgive me! But if you’ve ever rebranded a business, you’ll understand the need for a few heartfelt thank-yous:
  • First, to my team — my incredible coworkers (I refuse to call you employees!) — thank you. Your dedication, enthusiasm, positivity, and endless patience through this process has been nothing short of extraordinary. From skill-building and endless marketing edits to listening to my “what have I gotten myself into?!” rants, I cannot thank you enough for your support and hard work.
  • To our clients — thank you for growing with us. Your kind words, referrals, and even your critiques have shaped who we are today. Your feedback about our branding truly pushed us to create something bigger and better.
  • To the breast cancer community — thank you for trusting us with your care. It’s been the greatest honour to walk alongside you, and we are beyond grateful for your continued support as we expand to help even more people. I hope you’re looking forward to “sharing” us as much as we are looking forward to growing!
  • To my website team — thank you for giving me the creative space to bring my vision to life while supporting me every step of the way. I can’t wait for everyone to see the final product!
  • To our oncology care colleagues — thank you for trusting us with your patients and keeping us growing and learning. Your faith in our work has been a driving force behind this rebrand.
  • And finally, to my family — thank you, endlessly. For those who don’t know, I have a 13-month-old daughter who spent the last 10 months at home with my husband while I dove back into work (right into the deep end!!). Balancing feeding and nurturing my baby with graphic design, copywriting, and clinic leadership has been one of the hardest — and most empowering — experiences of my life. Being a present mom, wife, and leader at the clinic can feel like an impossible task some days and I know I don’t always get it perfectly right but your unwavering support has made this all possible.
If you’ve made it this far — thank you for reading.
I am beyond excited for this next chapter and so grateful to have you along for the ride.
Cheers to what’s ahead!
With love,
Maddy
